Would you believe me if I told you that was the second coolest thing I’ve ever done…?
I’m a backpacker through and through. I’ve spent my life on the road, and now I have the opportunity to share my latest adventure, Jinja Island, with travellers and adventure seekers from all over the world… for just $25 (£21, € 23) per person per night.
Jinja Island is located 20 minutes south of Bocas Del Toro in north-west Panama. It is rustic, off-grid, powered by the sun and the rain… but don’t worry, you won’t be living up a tree! Jinja boasts three bedrooms – a double, a twin and a triple, a hot shower, gas cooker, refrigerator, flush toilet, TV, home cinema and WiFi.
The island is easily accessible by water taxi and not far from exciting excursions such as Dolphin Bay, Greenacres Chocolate Farm, The Dark Lands, The Valley of the Frogs, Rana Azul, Red Frog Beach and the Zapatillas.
My goal for Jinja Island is to form an ever-changing eco-friendly community and to meet backpackers and buccaneers, dreamers and drifters who would like to come and help build this little utopia deep in the enchanting mangrove forests of the Bocas Del Toro archipelago.
I’ve somehow ended up with a private island! Let’s party!!!
